Setting up New SmartCART Window Shoppers
As a new group of students come onto campus and into your labs, you may find that you need to have new Window Shoppers set up to facilitate SmartCART ordering. There are two steps involved in gaining access for the new window shopper, the request form, and the training video. Please assist your new shopper with completing the form located here: SmartCart Window Shopper Access Request. Multiple approvers can be assigned to the profile, so that the shopper may select which approver the cart should route to at the time of ordering. Once this form is complete, the new shopper should watch the training video available at connect.case.edu. Upon completion of both steps, account information will be e-mailed to the new shopper. Please do not forget to advise us of anyone who may be leaving your lab/area as well. This can be done by e-mailing email@example.com to terminate their access. Directions on how to become a Window Shopper are also available on the PDS website at Procurement>SmartCART

Spotlight On - The University Movers
The University Movers did over 900 jobs in FY13! They provided on-campus moving services for many departments, as well as delivered furniture and cabinets from University Surplus to grateful offices. The familiar duo of Henry Hill and Rico Mixon are well known by many on campus and can always be spotted in their blue box truck as they travel around campus. The University Movers also provide table and chair rental for University events. This month they will be welcoming a third staff member, Brandon Williams, to assist them with the increasing needs of the campus community. Their website contains pricing information and a service request form. Contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org

New Fleet Aquisitions
Case Western Reserve University procured a Viper refuse truck in late June. This new vehicle is able to accommodate more volume, thus reducing the number of trips to the landfill. It is also equipped with an emissions control system which reduces the green house gas emissions. The Custodial Department and the Office of Sustainability are working together to install new waste containers and other infrastructure which will make the collection and transportation of waste more efficient.
In addition to the refuse truck, CWRU Police and Security Services has added two Smart cars and an electric Polaris Gem.
