Communications Report:
The committee designed an informational table display, a SAC "refrigerator magnet" describing the basic mission of SAC and including contact information, and a staff survey for SAC booth at the Benefits Fair. Last years' surveys are being analyzed and will be compared with the results of the new survey. The committee began discussion of methods to track, analyze and assist members in their communications efforts. Communications Committee will meet Wednesday, December 15, at 3 p.m. in Adelbert Hall, Room 351.
Community Services Report:
The committee will hold a holiday food drive to benefit the Cleveland Food Bank at the Benefits Fair. Donors of non-perishable food items can receive a free ticket for a prize drawing. Germinating the idea of a "CWRU Community Service Day." The committee will help sponsor a campus-wide book drive, "20,000 for 2000," to benefit neighborhood literacy centers which serve the community. Community Services Committee will meet Thursday, December 13, 1 p.m. in the Cleveland Room of Thwing Center.
Elections Report:
The Elections committee edited the objectives and goals for the upcoming year. The changes can be read on the SAC web site. We will start work on the election of the officers to the council, also in celebration of the holiday season we will have a baked goods exchange. Elections committee will meet Tuesday, December 14, 2:30 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room 604.
Fringe Benefits Report:
The SAC Fringe Benefits Committee will be researching two topics brought to the table by interested constituents--retirement benefits and a leave donation program. Regular meeting dates have changed to the third Mondays at rotating times of 8:30 a.m. (Dec. 20th), 12 noon on Jan. 10th (M.L. King holiday change) and 4 p.m. in February, etc. in Rm. 352 Adelbert. All interested parties welcome.. Fringe Benefits Committee will meet Thursday, December 9, at 8:30 a.m. in Adelbert Hall, Room 1.
Staff Policy Report:
No report. Personnel Policy Committee will meet Wednesday, December 15, at 10:30 a.m. in Adelbert Hall, Room 351.
Staff Recognition Report:
The committee first project is to seek nominations for the President's Award for Distinguished Service. We will be sending out flyers announcing the President's Award in January 31st paychecks. Staff Recognition Committee will meet Thursday, December 8, at 12 p.m. in Adelbert Hall, Room 351.
Staff Training and Development Report:
The committee continues to research new materials to recommend to Human Resources for the Employee Resource Center located at Kelvin Smith Library. Staff Training and Development will meet Wednesday, December 8, at noon in Kelvin Smith Library, Room 6.
