Communications Report:
Communications has provided the new lists of constituent e-mails for the upcoming term (beginning in September). The committee will coordinate SAC's presence at the Benefits Fair, November 19 and 20. Communications Committee will meet at noon on Tuesday, October 8, in 353 Adelbert Hall.
Community Services Report:
The committee is planning for the basket raffle to take place during the next Benefits Fair, November 19 and 20. Community Service Committee will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, in Tomlinson Food Court.
Elections Report:
The committee hosted an orientation brunch Tuesday, September 17, where President Hundert addressed the Council. Elections Committee will meet Tuesday, October 15, at 2 p.m. in 609 Crawford Hall.
Fringe Benefits Report:
The committee is looking into retiree medical benefits, tuition reimbursement and tuition exchange consortium. Fringe Benefits Committee will meet at noon on Monday, October 21, in 353 Adelbert Hall.
Staff Policy Report:
The committee provided Human Resources with the staff responses to the draft policy entitled, "Animals on Campus." Future plans are to discuss timely evaluations, interim appointments and ombudsman. Staff Policy Committee will meet Wednesday, October 30, at 10:30 a.m. in 352 Adelbert Hall.
Staff Recognition Report:
The committee will schedule the timetable for the President's Award for Distinguished Service and draft a memo requesting that the President's Award be increased. The Staff Recognition Committee will meet at noon on Tuesday, October 15, in 1 Adelbert Hall.
Staff Training and Development Report:
The committee has recruited more staff to assist in the Employee Resource Partnering Program. This program serves as an information channel for new employees as they make the transition to the campus community. The next Video on Wheels is “Adventures in Customer Courtesy,” and will be shown at noon on Monday, October 28, in 209 Crawford Hall. Staff Training and Development Committee will meet at noon on Wednesday, October 16, at 1 Adelbert Hall.
