Communications Report:
The committee provided SAC information at the Party on the Quad. The committee is planning the annual SAC insert to be published in "Campus News" in early fall. The Communications Committee will meet Wednesday, August 16, at 3 p.m. in Adelbert Hall, Room 353.
Community Services Report:
Dr. Auston has conceptually approved the "CWRU Community Service Day" proposal and an ad hoc committee has been appointed to gather information and work on details for implementation in conjunction with the CWRU Office of Community Affairs. The committee continues to brainstorm ideas for fund-raising events for the Fall/Holiday seasons and will, again, host a food drive at the annual CWRU Benefits Fair. Community Services Committee will meet Thursday, August 17, at 12 noon in Charlie's Place at Thwing Center.
Elections Report:
The committee will be mail out ballots next week for the SAC general election for the Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Law, Medicine, and Management areas. Elections Committee will meet Tuesday, August 8, at 2:30 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room 604.
Fringe Benefits Report:
Two subcommittees continue to research and discuss retirement plans and leave donation programs. The Fringe Benefits Committee meets on the third Monday of the month in Adelbert Hall, Room 352, this one is August 21, at 12 noon.
Staff Policy Report:
The committee is currently working on interim appointments. The Personnel Policy Committee will meet Wednesday, August 23, at 10:30 a.m. in Adelbert Hall, Room 353.
Staff Recognition Report:
The committee in partnership with Human Resources hosted a successful Party (Luau) on the Quad for approximately 500 attendees on Friday, July 28, 2000. The committee will begin work on the nomination form for the 2001 President's Award for Distinguished Service. Staff Recognition Committee will meet Wednesday, September 6, at noon in Adelbert Hall, Room 351.
Staff Training and Development Report:
The committee is reviewing videos to purchase for the Employee Resources housed in Kelvin Smith Library. The list of available resources is provided on the Internet http://www.cwru.edu/finadmin/humres/eerel/resource.html. Staff Training and Development will meet Wednesday, August 9, at noon in Adelbert, Room 1.
