Communications Report:
SAC has now been in existence for 10 years. In recognition of this achievement, and to promote our many areas of activity, the communications committee is organizing a weeklong series of events. During May 22-26, 2000, each standing committee will participate in presenting an event to showcase some of its functions. Details will be made available as events are finalized. Communications Committee will meet Wednesday, April 19, at 3 p.m. in Adelbert Hall, Room 351.
Community Services Report:
The committee has developed a "CWRU Community Service Day." The Co-chairs are scheduled to meet with Dr. Auston April 16 to discuss our proposal. Community Services Committee will meet Thursday, April 20, 1 p.m. in Charlie's Place at Thwing Center.
Elections Report:
Ballots are being mailed to SAC members for officer elections. Completed ballots are due Monday, April 24, 2000. Please contact committee chair Theresa Emerson by phone (ext. 2982) or via e-mail tme@po.cwru.edu with any questions regarding this election. Elections Committee will meet Tuesday, April 11, 2:30 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room 604.
Fringe Benefits Report:
Earl McLane, Associate Vice President for Human Resources, is sitting with the committee now and providing additional information. We are currently meeting also in two subcommittees on retirement programs and leave donation programs. Input from SAC members and constituents are always welcome. Fringe Benefits Committee will meet Monday, April 17, at 8:30 a.m. in Adelbert Hall, Room 352.
Staff Policy Report:
Committee is currently working on timely evaluations. The next focus will be interim appointments. Personnel Policy Committee will meet Wednesday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m. in Adelbert Hall, Room 353.
Staff Recognition Report:
Committee is reviewing the 23 nominations received for the President's Award for Distinguished Service and will make recommendations to the Vice President for Finance and Administration this month. Please mark your Friday, July 4, 2000, on your calendars for the annual Party on the Quad. Staff Recognition Committee will meet Wednesday, May 3, at 12 noon in Adelbert Hall, Room 351.
Staff Training and Development Report:
Committee is reviewing videos for purchase for employees resources house at Kelvin Smith Library. Staff Training and Development will meet Wednesday, April 12, at noon in Adelbert, Room 1.
