The Case Educational Enhancement Fund is available to all staff members at Case Western Reserve University.
This fund was established as a result of funds obtained from the Gala Ball held on March 17, 2007.
Funds can be used for textbooks, certification, on-line courses, courses off campus, or out-service training
(courses, training sessions, conferences, conventions, professional association meetings or workshops) not
funded under regular university benefits. Funds may not be used for travel related expenses (food,
transportation, lodging, etc.).
To participate in the Case Staff Educational Enhancement Fund, an official request application must be
submitted indicating how the training will increase the employee's ability to perform his or her current
job or how it will enhance their skills.
Deadlines for submitting application forms are as follows:
Summer 2009 -- May 1, 2009
Fall 2009 -- September 1, 2009
Spring 2010 -- January 1, 2010
Verification of payment (i.e. receipt) must be submitted for reimbursement.
Staff members are eligible to receive awards two semesters per academic year.
Staff Advisory Council's Training & Development Committee will be responsible for audit documentation,
approval of funding for recipients, and distribution of funds.

Note: funds will be distributed equitably and may not cover all of the amount requested.
For the Fall 2007 semester, 32 people were awareded up to $100 each.
For the Spring 2008 semester, 17 people were awarded up to $100 each.
If you wish to contribute to the Staff Educational Enhancement Fund, checks can be made out to Case Western Reserve University, indicating SEEF as the recipient, and then sent to Kathleen Dowdell or Kathleen O'Linn.
