12th Annual SAC Basket Raffle

When:
During the Benefits Fair
Wednesday, November 14th from 11:00am-5:00pm
Thursday, November 15th from 8:00am-2:00pm
Where: Thwing Center’s 1914 Lounge (located on the second floor opposite the ballroom)
  The Basket Raffle is a successful program coordinated by the Staff Advisory Council’s Community Service Committee. With your help, we’ve donated over $50,000 to charity. After careful consideration we have decided to select two charities. They are Murtis Taylor Human Services System, http://www.murtistaylor.info/ , and Youth Challenge, http://youthchallengesports.com/Main/Home.aspx.

Don't be left holding an empty basket

Donate a basket! Lead your department in a brainstorming session for innovative ideas See some of the past winners and baskets (2010, 2011). It’s fun and all proceeds go to help a great charity. Just imagine this year it was you in the picture!

Guidelines

  • The baskets must each be worth $50 or more
  • All baskets must have a list of contents included

Timeline

Commitment: Notify the committee of commitment to create a basket- No later than Wednesday, October 24th
Basket drop-off: Tuesday, November 13th between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm in Thwing Center 1914 lounge

Raffle and Drawings

Do you hate writers cramp? We do too!

Presale raffle tickets will be available through your SAC representative between Thursday, October 25th and Monday, November 12th.
Tickets are $1 each, or the special presale price of 7 for $5. Cash or Check only (made payable to CWRU.) Buy early, and fill out the tickets at your convenience!

Otherwise, raffle ticket sales will take place during the Benefits Fair:

  • Wednesday, November 14th from 11:00am-5:00pm
  • Thursday, November 15th from 8:00am-2:00pm

$1 per Ticket, or 6 for $5. Methods of payment acceptable are Cash, Check, CASE card and all major credit cards (NEW THIS YEAR!)

*NO ADDRESS LABELS ON TICKETS PLEASE

The drawing will begin promptly at 2:15 pm on Thursday, November 15th, and the winner need not be present. The winners will be notified that same day.

  • Basket pick-up is on Thursday, November 15th until 5:00pm
  • Special pickups can be arranged

Back-to-School Supply Drive

Thank you for helping with our Back-to-School Supply Drive. This event was held in conjunction withe the Case For Community Day on October 19. With your help, we delivered 30 boxes of supplies to the Cleveland Public Schools!

Objectives

  • To sponsor and organize community service activities and fundraising events
  • To promote awareness and involvement of the staff in the community
  • To continue relationships with previously sponsored organizations
  • To seek out new events

We meet once a month on the second Tuesday of the month from 1:15 to 2:15 pm hosted by members of the committed in different locations - notice will be sent out via email to members as to where we meet. Questions may be sent to us at sac-communityservice@case.edu
