The Basket Raffle is a successful program coordinated by the Staff Advisory Council’s Community Service Committee. This fundraiser has proven to be a very successful endeavor. In past years we have donated as much as $6000 to charity. This year, all proceeds from the raffle
were donated to the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Salvation Army. Through the Salvation Army, the proceeds from the basket raffle have been earmarked to be shared equally between victims of Hurricane Katrina located in northeast Ohio and the needs of the underprivileged specifically in the Cleveland area.
Results
We are proud to announce that we raised a total of $5702 for the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Salvation Army! We will be presenting the Salvation Army with the check as soon as we are able to process the monies through the University. We are hoping to have a small check presenting ceremony for the occasion.
Tony Kinslow, Vice President of Human Resources, was our guest "Ticket Puller" for the drawing on Wednesday, November 16th. There were a total of 71 baskets to pull for! The baskets ranged in sizes from large to small, from departments on campus, vendors and area businesses.

The SAC Community Service Committee would like to thank everyone who helped make this year's raffle a success. All of our donors, departments, SAC members and members of the Univeristy Community did a wonderful job with their enthusiastic participation.
We want to extend a special Thank You to the members of our committee, who worked around the clock to ensure that things ran smoothly. Our members went above and beyond the call of duty and the results were evident with this year's raffle. A record number of baskets were donated and we have tied with our highest amount collected for the chairty of choice.
