SAC Fringe Benefits Committee

Mission

The Fringe Benefit Committee shall suggest, comment, and provide feedback on issues concerning fringe benefits for staff employees.

Objectives

The committee is working in three subcommittees reviewing retiree health insurance, adoption leave as a benefit, and a review of paid time off policies at other institutions or comparable workplaces. In the upcoming year we plan to revisit tuition benefits and Staff Retirement Plan B.

The SAC Fringe Benefits Committee submitted a Resolution so that education benefits are never denied, for any reason, to all staff who want to further their education. An appeals process page (I,C,3) has been instituted in Human Resources for anyone who is currently being denied benefits as, we believe, a direct result of our resolution.

Currently we are in the process of addressing Vacation and Sick time/leave issues. Hopefully, through cooperation with Human Resources we will help to make improvements on your understanding of these benefits.

Committee Meetings

Our meeting times are noon to 1:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month in Room 352 of Adelbert Hall (exceptions marked). Contact fringebenefits@case.edu if you have any concerns or opinions.
