ARTICLE XV. The Disabled

In addition to its policy of non-discrimination in employment of the disabled, the University complies with The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), prohibiting discrimination in employment and in public accommodations and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, prohibiting discrimination against the disabled in federally assisted educational programs and activities. Responsibility for assuring that the campus is physically accessible to disabled persons rests with the Office of Facilities. The Office of Educational Support Services works with the schools of the University to provide academic adjustments to accommodate the needs of disabled students when requested, documented and reasonable. The Office of Equal Opportunity & Diveristy coordinates accommodations for disabled employees.
