Case Western Reserve has awarded more than 100,000 degrees since 1968, including 2,725 in the 2011-12 academic year. Living alumni number more than 100,000.
Note that the number of degrees awarded is different from both the number of graduates and the number of majors completed. Some students earn more than one degree in an academic year, while others complete multiple majors for a single degree.
In 2010-11, 109 graduates earned more than one degree, 11 earned both a degree and a certificate, and 170 completed more than one major for the Bachelor of Arts or the Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree. Among bachelor’s graduates, 20% earned more than one degree, had multiple majors, or both.
