Subject: Input to the Accreditation Process

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

As you are probably aware, Case will be evaluated this Spring for continued institutional 
accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges 
and Schools.  Case was last evaluated for institutional accreditation in 1995, and this 
upcoming accreditation review is a significant event that requires participation from all 
sectors of the university.

As part of preparing for this review, the Accreditation Steering Committee has prepared a 
draft of a comprehensive self-study document which broadly describes Case, our missions, 
goals, and operations, and how Case satisfies the accreditation criteria.  We are now seeking 
comments, corrections, and suggestions on the draft self-study from the whole campus community.

The draft self-study is accessible through the accreditation home page 
(http://www.cwru.edu/president/cir/accreditation/accredhome.htm).  Several chapters and 
appendices of the self-study are now posted, and the remaining chapters will appear over the 
next few days.  Feedback received prior to mid-January will be considered for incorporation 
into the final version of the self-study.
