Cultural Competency OverviewOne out of five Americans has an anger management problem. Anger is a natural human emotion and is nature’s way of empowering us to “ward off” our perception of an attack or threat to our well-being. The Anger Toolkit includes Information about Managing and Coping with Anger in the Workplace, Understanding the Goals of Negative Behavior, Tips on Coping with your Angry Co-workers or Boss, and Four Proven Techniques for Managing Anger. Resources to develop and enhance cultural competency. This presentation strives to familiarize you with Case policy and procedure; help you to expect, understand, and respect differences; help you develop an awareness of the perceptions and behaviors that foster clear communication for effective supervising; help you recognize that power differentials that can lead to abuses and harassment; and know where you can go for information and advice and help.
