- Computers in SBA office are networked. All SBA files will be consolidated.
- Secretary’s Report
- Treasurer’s Report
- $14,000 in SBA account. Second Semester student activity fee not in yet. Plenty of money in speaker fund (over $3,000).
- Senate Counsel’s Report
- Lesson on “point of information” and “parliamentary inquiry”.

- No bar review for a while bc there are fundraising event.
- Fat Tuesday Party on Feb. 28: food from Fat Fish Blue and beers. Staff and administration are invited.
- Lexis Faculty Student Luncheon.

- Basketball tournament coming up.
- Buildings and Grounds
- Building temps have been tested. Within reasonable range. Contact Alice Hunt if there is a specific problem in a classroom.
- Seat Covers in female bathrooms stocked. There is also a genuine concern for seat covers in men’s bathroom.
- Posting policy: only allows SBA election posters and the 100 day commencement countdown. B&G can get an exception for policy.
- Mr. Hudson’s question about change machine: change supposed to last for 2 weeks after filled.

- Consideration of Election Procedures
- Eligible voters for exec board and senate clarified. Any ID can be used.
- Motion to accept amended election procedures.
- passes unanimously.

- Budget Requests
- SBA Fat Tuesday Party: request for $300. BarBri co-sponsorship will pay for the $300 food cost from Fat Fish Blue. SBA contribution will go to beverages (beer and non-alcoholic), party favors, and chafing dishes.
- Motion to grant SBA $300.
- Passes.
- National Lawyers Guild: Maurice Hudson
- Requests $420 for death penalty awareness event.
- Motion to grant $420. This money will come out of the speaker fund.
- Passes. 3 opposed.
- American Constitutional Society:
- Requests $777.10 for Annual Political Process Lecture on Civil Liberties on Wartime, given by Prof. Stone from U of Chicago Law School.
- The plane ticket and ground transportation debated.
- Motion to grant $500 ($100 airline ticket, no $100 refreshments with faculty, and no limo for ground transportation).
- Motion to amend to $600.
- Passes. 10 ayes. 7 nays. 1 abstention.
- Motion to Grant $600
- Passes. 15 ayes, 1 nay. 2 abstentions.
- Announcements
- Lisa Levy: “Sing for the Cure”:
- March 30 at B-Side instead of Bar Review. Raising money for Cystic Fibrosis. Requesting volunteers to take money at door.
- James Zink: Senators are asked to look in their email within the next
week for a proposal for the changes in the treasurers position and how
