    1. Vice-Pres. Holmes: add commencement committee to agenda
    2. Sen. Nardulli – motion to increase office supply fee for student orgs – link on blackboard
    3. Sen. Tsai - $20 fee for lab computers update – new business

    1. Accepted with stipulation to spell Sen. Saykiewicz’s name correctly

    1. President’s Report
      1. Purpose of SBA Meetings
        1. Meetings are for conducting business, i.e. action items.  The correct means for discussions is go around asking people’s opinions and set up a link on blackboard and discuss there.  Once there is a consensus to bring to the table, look at each of the committees and take it to them first.
      2. Bagel Breakfast
        1. Sponsored by CSO on Oct. 31
      3. Mentoring Program
        1. Will circulate through email via Patty to hear whether people are interested.  Every senator must be a mentor – write down interests.  The point of the program is for 1Ls to contact you to ask questions.
      4. $400 Tech Fee
        1. Resolution was signed and delivered to the President and the faculty members
    2. Vice-President’s Report
      1. Committee Goal Sheets and Senator Placement
        1. Will start meetings soon with committees – everyone placed now.  Some committees have faculty member – and that committee has its’ own chair and want to work with them.
    3. Secretary’s Report - none
    4. Treasurer’s Report
      1. Budget Update – passed out report – got $30,000 payment for school.  Roll-over of $2800 from last year
      2. Budget Request for Fall Ball
        1. $992.00 because added additional 30 people to fall ball
        2. Sen. Tsai – motion and accepted.
        3. Debate: why did we continue to sell tickets when sales were closed?  If pple didn’t buy their ticket when they were supposed to, why did we start accommodating pple?  Needed to sell 280 to not eat the cost.  Huge rush of people wanting tickets.
        4. Sen. Malbasa: request because of the extra tickets we sold
        5. Sen. Nardulli: catering & venue – how much was venue v. catering?  $600 was venue for cocktail hour.  Caterer pays building for event. 
        6. Passes – 3 against (Sen.s Malbasa, Schmitt, Logue)

      1. Parliamentary Procedure Overview
        1. Points of information – simple questions relating to business at hand

      1. Sen. Nardulli – Email stations
        1. talked with Alice Hunt – can print on printer near law review, but still need to meet with Tron – he’s against the idea, sees it as a step backward

    3. Curriculum Committee
      1. Senate Counsel Kringel
        1. Faculty committee – only held 1 meeting so far – new chair didn’t know students were on it.  New courses were approved.  Spring schedule to be released this week this week.  Academic rule 12 – raised the bar for getting kicked out – have to have a 2.0.
    4. Sports Committee
      1. Sen. Zink – Soccer Tournament Recap – 50 people came, Annamarie’s team won
      2. Case v. Cleveland state flag football – Nov 11
    5. Commencement Committee
      1. Sen. Lagen – brainstorming session this week – activities for this year.  Selling clothes by the end of the month.  Email Sen. Kuhn if ideas.  May join in casino night with business school
    6. Student Life
      1. Sen. Davidson – no Bar Review this week 
      2. Sen. Pottker-Fishel – SBA Retreat
        1. changing date – nov 10, 11, or 12 – for bowling.  Friday nov 10.  Need to come up with a secret santa type of idea.
      3. Sen. Saucier – Fall Ball Recap
        1. Need attendance lists, questions go to megan.  Megan was promised: more bars, bard would only be closed for 20 min, had to help them set up – unprepared and unprofessional, day of everything exploded and woman in change went insane
        2. President Choy – Fall Ball Enforcement Issues
          1. Take-it-or-leave it contracts.  Try to take measures – call head of org – asking fro $2000 back.    We’ll make up for it somehow.  If not, file a complaint with BBB.
          2. Sen. Paeffgen – add caterer to blacklist – don’t want to give her future business
          3. Sen. Schmitt – consider for next year – set up a communication system amongst us – pple were mad because didn’t know what was going on.  We need to do damage control next year
          4. People who haven’t paid – being turned over to the Dean
          5. Sen. Malbasa set up blackboard link – complaints about having a fall ball
          6. Nov 2 student reception – 3:30 in Blackacre – needs volunteers to man stations  Prof Overton will attend

    1. Weatherheadless – Oct. 28th.  Cans of beer – need 8 volunteers to bartend for 30 min each.  Talk it up.  Will talk about getting our name on the flyer.  Bring a canned good to get in
    2. Sen. Hudson – Resolution in Support of Academic Competitions
      1. Explained resolution – SBA budget is to benefit entire student body
      2. Sen. Logue – how would this be presented?  Meet with Dean A
      3. Senate Counsel Kringel – If u want something to be conveyed, let us know – document should speak for itself
      4. Sen. Malbasa – move to accept
      5. Sen. Schmitt – move action 1 up to resolve – all in favor
      6. All in favor - passes
  1. New Business
    1. Sen. Tsai – lab fee – memo from Dean Hoffman about it.  Recognizes concern and welcomes comment
    2. Sen. Paeffgen – spoke with some faculty – some provision for fee waiver – talk to registrar – not being published
    3. Senate Counsel Kringel – motion to refer to curriculum committee – all In favor

    1. Senatue Counsel Kringel – moved fall ball discussion to its own

    1. Sen. Paeffgen – jeer to myself for screwing up bagel breakfast – cheer to those who took care of it.  Cheer to VP Holmes for reading riot act.
    2. Sen. Illar: Cheer to Se. Hudson, etc. for the student-faculty lunch
