Program Details
The purpose of CREATE
is to involve students of all levels and all disciplines of engineering
in the
real-world engineering design process. Within the Summer Design
Experience
(SDE), students will work full time on projects presented to them by
companies,
hospitals and professional researchers. Simultaneously, SDE students
will
receive lectures and hands-on tutorials in order to learn the necessary
concepts, software and skills required to solve the design problem
faced by
their team. SDE gives students the unique opportunity to develop their
engineering skills, take part in experiential learning and network with
students,
faculty and professionals. The program will consist of three design
teams, each of
which is comprised of three to five students. An additional
two students will be Design Directors, who will lead and
educate the three design teams.
Dates
The SDE will
span 11
weeks, from Monday May 19th to Friday August 1st.
