BANQUET RECOGNIZES STUDENT ATHLETES
May 2, 2006

Nobby
Lewandowski
Coaches, athletes, and faculty
gathered on Tuesday evening to celebrate the successes
and accomplishments of Case athletes this past school
year. The banquet featured key-note speaker Nobby
Lewandowski, a Case business graduate, who has found
success despite a speech impediment. He used music
sing-a-longs and humor to keep everyone entertained
while he shared his advice for success. Individuals were recognized
throughout the evening for their
contributions to Case athletics. The specific
awards are listed below. In total, there were 250
athletes who received a Varsity award and 185 scholar
athletes (3.2 cumulative GPA or higher). The evening concluded with a presentation
that included each senior's picture and a short summary
of their accomplishments. Congratulations to all
Spartan athletes!

CASE LAUNCHES NEW ASSOCIATION FOR
STUDENT ATHLETES
April 27, 2006

The Case Association of Student
Athletes was established this spring under the guidance
of the Case Athletic Department. The group will be
working to build relationships throughout the campus and
the community. The recently ratified
Constitution lays out the
vision for the new organization:
The mission of the Case
Association of Student-Athletes
is to
provide student-athletes with a means of improving
visibility within the campus community through community
service, communication between student-athletes and the
administration, and increased community involvement.
CASA will also provide insight and feedback on
Department of Athletics issues, and NCAA matters and
legislation.
Each sports team has chosen two
representatives to attend the
monthly General Body meetings. Representatives are
selected by their teams each year.
Please look for CASA events this
coming fall.
