A message from our president...
Dear student,
The men of Beta Theta Pi would like to congratulate you on having completed your first semester at Case
Western Reserve University. We hope that you are enjoying your freshman year and would like to wish
you the best of luck for the second semester. Beta Theta Pi believes that college men should be
recognized for their success and desire to achieve. For more than 170 years, we have been in the business
of building Men of Principle. As you will soon find out, the Greek community at Case has a strong
academic reputation and can offer numerous distinct opportunities to students.
For the ninth year, our chapter is proud to offer the “Beta Theta Pi Men of Principle Scholarship”. These
scholarships are designed to recognize exceptional efforts put forth by incoming freshmen men. This
spring we are offering scholarships with awards of up to $500. By applying for the scholarship, you are
not committing yourself to membership in Beta Theta Pi or any other organization; rather, you are merely
affirming your desire to strive for excellence. With the rising costs of college, this scholarship can be very
helpful in reducing your
Finalists will be chosen based on performance in academics, extracurricular activities, community service
and athletics. The application process will also include a short personal interview for finalists, and an
awards dinner on a later date. This scholarship process is an excellent way for you to experience Case
Western Reserve University and the Greek community first hand.
On this website you will find a scholarship application. The scholarship application should be turned in to
any brother of Beta Theta Pi or online at www.cwrubeta.com by Friday, January 20th.

Fun and food with the Gentleman's Fraternity
Get ready for two weeks jam-packed with awesome events and free food. We're doing it BIG this rush, with everything from Whirleyball to Hot Sauce Williams.

We also will be looking for a winner for our bi-annual Men of Principle Scholarship. If you are a freshman, you should fill out a quick application. Filling out an application does not commit you to anything and it could mean $500 for your education!

And what a semester it has been!
From mixers and Date Party, to Walkathon and our Alumni Hall of Fame Reception, we have been busy this semester.
Not only did we have success with our philanthropy event, Walkathon, but we also had a lot of fun participating in events hosted by our fellow CWRU fraternities and sororities. Some of these events included Sigma Nu's Frisbee and Flapjacks for Hunger and Kappa Alpha Theta's KATwalk.
We also had a very successful homecoming weekend, taking second place with the Beta Theta Pi/ Sigma Psi float. We also reconnected with and recognized some of our great alumni at our first ever Alumni Hall of Fame Reception.
In between all of these events, we took some time to kick back and have some fun. One way we did this was with our Date Party, which consisted of dinner and black light mini-golf. It was a blast!
After holding and participating in all of these great events, we got down to business and elected our new officers for the upcoming semester. Among these new officers includes our President-elect, Robert Ahlman (Congratulations, Rob!).
That about wraps up things for this semester. Be sure to keep your eye out for our plans for next year!

The Chapter is extremely excited to start an Alumni Hall of Fame to recognize outstanding contributors to our historic chapter. The event will take place during Homecoming Weekend on October 15th.

Fall 2011 Rush has begun! We have had some great events over the past week, including whirley ball, water balloon dodgeball, giant soccer, and the famous nacho mountain. But things have only just begun...
