Case purchasing Triangle property

Case Western Reserve University is taking a giant step toward its goal of creating the best “college town” in America by purchasing the property known as the Triangle at the intersection of Mayfield and Euclid avenues.
The purchase includes two apartment buildings, two commercial structures and a parking lot. Case is also acquiring the approximately four acres of land on which the buildings are situated. The university is purchasing the land from University Circle Inc. and the buildings from Associated Estates Realty Corporation.
University narrowing list of developers for arts and retail district

Case's plans for developing an arts and entertainment district in the Ford-Euclid-Mayfield area have taken a step closer to reality, now that the university has identified potential developers for the district.
In December the university sent Request for Proposals (RFPs) to 10 local and national real estate development firms. Four developers or teams of developers responded with preliminary proposals, and three of those have been asked to submit final proposals.
MOCA Cleveland announces Gund Foundation grant & capital campaign for relocation

The Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland (MOCA) today announced that it has received a $2.1 million grant from the George Gund Foundation to help fund a capital campaign to build a new museum as part of Case Western Reserve University's planned University Arts & Retail District development.
With the Gund grant, MOCA has raised $5 million to date in early lead gifts toward its capital campaign, which will be formally announced at a later date. MOCA will be the signature structure in Case's mixed-use development located at the "Triangle" site at the southeast corner of Euclid Avenue and Mayfield Road in University Circle.
