Dennis Miller, known for his "Weekend Update" report on Saturday Night Live, hilarious rants, and as the author of several books, is the headliner for Case's Alumni Weekend and Homecoming activities, Friday, October 14 at 8 p.m. at Severance Hall, 11001 Euclid Ave.

The stand-up comedian and best-selling author, who once served as an anchor on Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update," made his way through such far-flung terrains as the Republican Party, the social responsibility of the President, women's athletics, and TV talk shows. The Emmy-award winning Miller is considered a favorite among fans and critics for his bluntness during his political and social commentaries. In addition to television, Miller also is the author of several books, including The Rant Zone: An All-Out Blitz Against Soul-Sucking Jobs, Twisted Child Stars, Holistic Loons, and People Who Eat Their Dogs!, I Rant, Therefore I Am, and Ranting Again.

Tickets for the Dennis Miller performance go on sale August 22, and range in price from $25 to $100. Order through the Severance Hall ticket office at (216) 231-1111 or online at http://www.clevelandorch.com.

Case's 2005 Alumni Weekend and Homecoming activities take place October 14 and 15. In addition to the Dennis Miller concert, festivities include the Homecoming parade on Saturday, October 15, followed by the noon football game featuring Case vs. Washington University at the new Village at 115 Athletic Stadium.
