Henri Brunengraber, MD, PhD
Professor of Nutrition
Henri Brunengraber, MD, PhD is a Professor and the Chair of the Department of Nutrition at the Case Western Reserve University, a position he has held since he joined the School of Medicine and the former Mt. Sinai Medical Center in 1990. Dr. Brunengraber earned his MS in Chemistry from Université of Liège in 1961, he then went on to earn his MD from Université Libre de Bruxelles in 1968, and ultimately his PhD in Biochemistry from Université Libre de Bruxelles in 1976.
Dr. Brunengraber's laboratory is located in the Biomedical Research Building, houses one of the largest Gas-Chromatography/Mass-Spectrometry facilities in Northeast Ohio. In 2004, Dr. Brunengraber was named the first recipient of the Mt. Sinai Auxiliary Commemorative Chair in Nutrition Research.
