Dr. Jon Goldberg, MD
Jonathan L. Goldberg, M.S., M.D., is a post-doctoral fellow in the Division of Cardiology at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Goldberg joined the Laughlin lab in September of 2005. He graduated from Denison University in 1989 with a B.S. in Geology. In 1996 he received his M.S. from the University of Vermont where he continued on to complete an M.D. in 2002. Upon completion of an Internal Medicine residency in 2005 at University Hospitals of Cleveland he began his fellowship in cardiology at the same institution.
Currently, his research interests include cell signaling and regulation of cardiac vascular function and angiogenesis. More specifically, he is addressing questions regarding the effects of hypoxia on endothelial cells in vitro and in vivo. Moreover, his clinical research focus is directed towards CT-coronary angiography and financial impacts on the practice of cardiovascular medicine.
