Comprehensive Didactic Program
PGY-1 (Three hours per week) – an introduction
to the field of psychiatry and a comprehensive review of clinical
neurology
PGY-2 (one half-day per week) – a more
focused and in depth study of the field of psychiatry with an
introduction to psychotherapy
PGY-3 (two half days per week) – continued
study of psychotherapy, further education on psychiatric specialties,
a review of general medicine and participation in case conferences
PGY-4 (One half-day per week) – continued
participation in case conferences, advanced education on a variety
of topics on psychiatry as well as a series on transitioning
into practice after training and a review of neurology in preparation
for the boards

Long Term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program:
* PGY-2 – One patient seen for one 50
minute session per week followed by one hour of supervision
with a psychoanalyst
* PGY-3 – A minimum of one day devoted
to psychotherapy and psychotherapy supervision in our outpatient
clinic
