DESCRIPTION
This position reports to the Division
Operations Manager and includes working closely with the
principal investigator, sub-investigators and other research
in a senior level (greater than 5 years experience) administrative
capacity. Responsible for organizing community support
for the Center for Bipolar Disorder. Responsible for generating
public awareness for the Center for Bipolar Disorder.
Responsible for grant budget development
and compilation. Responsible for project management including
scientific writing for manuscript preparation. Responsible
for oversight and coordination of the Center’s fellowship
program, ensuring that training curriculum is implemented,
recruitment is maintained and the program’s policies are
adhered to. Responsible for the program analysis and evaluation
of the Center for Bipolar Disorder and ancillary programs
through internal quarterly progress reports. Responsible
for directing fund development initiatives to obtain fiscal
support of the Center and its ancillary programs. Serve
as key representative for the Center at various mental
health meetings, which will require the need to collaborate
with individuals in diverse community and neighborhood
settings.
Requires 5-8 years experience in grants
administration and/or program management/public relations.
Bachelor’s Degree required with strong experience in fields
of’ Grants Management/Program Administration/Community
Relations. Must be able to manage multiple projects under
tight deadlines and work independently with very minimal
level of supervision. Excellent communication, interpersonal,
analytical and problem solving skills required. Proven
presentation and management skills a must, accompanied
by a high level of professionalism, poise and good judgment.
Must possess a high level of creativity.
