What is the significance of a minor?
• A minor concentration requires that approximately 15 - 18 credit hours of specified course work be completed in a discipline other than the chosen major, and that a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 be attained.
• Therefore, the completion of a minor indicates that the student has made a significant academic investment either to complement or supplement their major. The minor in nutrition fits easily into degree programs in the sciences, social sciences, nursing, etc.
