Special announcement
We are delighted to announce that the School of Medicine has approved the nomination of Dr. Hope Barkoukis to the title and functions of Vice-Chair of the Department of Nutrition, effective February 1, 2013.
Message from the Chair
Welcome to the Department of Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University. As one the School of Medicine's Basic Sciences Departments, our mission is to promote the human health through education and research by bridging the gap between medicine and public health. As Chair of the Department of Nutrition since 1990, it is with a great sense of pride and gratitude that I present to the community-at-large its distinguished faculty and vanguard academic programs. Backed by state-of-the-art facilities, our faculty is committed to providing students and researchers a productive integration of applied sciences and basic research.
Historically, the nature of this basic science field and its findings have had, and will continue to have, enormous implications for public health. We are committed to offer students and researchers a productive integration of applied sciences and basic research. Thank you for your interest in our Department. We look forward to hearing from you.
