Jane Korsberg is a Registered Dietitian who received her Bachelor of Science degree in Foods & Nutrition from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University and completed her dietetic internship at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Professor Korsberg’s specific areas of expertise include weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, wellness promotion/disease prevention and control. She has additional training in behavior modification, reality therapy, and advanced clinical education for child & adolescent obesity from the University of California, San Francisco. She has held positions including the Director of a Dietetic Internship at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI, Visiting Asst. Professor in the University of Akron's Coordinated Undergraduate Program, Asst. Director of Huron Road Hospital's Nutrition Department, Chief Clinical Dietitian, Clinical Dietitian, and Adult Education Instructor. She has served on the Advisory Board for the University of Michigan's Dietetic Internship Program, is a past President of the Cleveland Dietetic Association, and currently serves on the Case/VAMC/UH coordinated master's degree-dietetic internship program advisory committee.
In addition to teaching the courses "Introduction to Nutrition" (NTRN 201) and “Child Development and Health” (NTRN 328), she assists with the seminar courses for students in the Master’s Degree/Dietetic Internship program (NTRN 516 and 517), provides her nutrition expertise to the online health site Netwellness, and is owner/president of Nutrition Reality LLC a private practice providing medical nutrition therapy to individuals and groups.
