Jonathan Karn receives the Outstanding Mentor Award
Jonathan Karn received the Outstanding Mentor Award during the Graduate and Postdoctoral Awards Ceremony held at the Cleveland Botanical Garden on April 25, 2007. The award is sponsored by the Postdoctoral Researchers Association and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, Case Western Reserve University, and is given to recognize outstanding mentors who assist postdoctoral researchers in their career development; by helping with job searches, providing research technical training, assisting with publications, allowing intellectual freedom, introducing them to researchers in the field and taking a genuine interest in their lives outside of academia.
Dr. Karn is the Reinberger Professor and Chairman of the Department of Molecular Biology and Microbiology. He joined the department in 2002.
