Research:
Our lab is studying the cellular processes, including cell signaling and cell replication cycle. I am working on the regulation of the mammalian somatic cell cycle. My project is to study the role of cyclin B1 in regulating mitotic transition. I am interested in exploring the effect of cyclin B1 on regulations of timing of G2, entry into mitosis, and timing of mitosis. The work will be conducted using tet-off system in which endogenous cyclin B1 is depleted by siRNA and ectopic cyclinB1/EGFP fusion protein expressing level is modulated by doxycycline.
