Research:
I am studying HIV-1 whole genome recombination between subtype A and D and trying to develop broadly effective HIV-1 vaccines against subtype A and D isolates. This will serve as a model for generation of other heterogeneous vaccines. I am also studying what are the important factors determining packaging efficency of HIV RNA genome, etc.
