Vince's Philosophy of Life

Life is like a big ol' reaction mixture: on average, it can be expected that certain things will occur a certain percentage of the time. But if you consider just one molecule, who knows exactly when and what's going to happen? Some molecules wind up bumping into all sorts of other molecules and participating in many different interactions before finding one that leads to a truly favorable reaction, while some smack into a compatible reactant in the proper orientation right away. And then again, some reactions just have a lower EA than others. As long as you're not inert, don't spend your entire existence cooped up in your reagent container, and don't have so little energy that you're temperature's close to absolute zero, chances are things'll eventually work out favorably (most likely long before you ever start to decay).
