Clinical trials are one step in the process of getting a medication, treatment, or device approved for use by the public. All medications must go through a series of regulated tests, including multiple clinical trials, before they become available to the public. In the Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit, we perform Phase 1 clinical trials using healthy volunteers.

Your Participation

Participation in a clinical trial is always voluntary. You should feel comfortable asking questions before, during, and after your participation. Additionally, you can withdraw from a clinical trial at any time.

By participating in a clinical trial through the IDCTU, you are contributing to medical research to help develop safer and more effective treatments for infectious diseases.
