Research Interests

One focus of the lab is understanding the mechanisms of increased pathogenesis during HIV/TB co infection specifically involving properties of macrophages and dendritic cells.

The second focus determining defects in the human immune system that occur with aging. Specifically we are trying to determine predictors of influenza and shingles vaccination failure in older adults.
