Second year residents begin to have more autonomy in the Emergency Department (ED) but still have close supervision by the ED Attending staff. You will also begin your hands-on experience with critical care transport, where you regularly serve as the flight physician with UH MedEvac and as the participating physician with EMS. Outside of the work duties, you can join the other two classes at the monthly "Switch and Swallow*."
