Emergency Medicine Residency Program

Program Type: 1, 2, 3 with eight residents per year

The Department of Emergency Medicine at University Hospitals Case Medical Center of Cleveland provides the residents with a broad and vast exposure to various emergencies to train outstanding emergency physicians. The residency program is designed to educate and train residents broadly in both the art and science of emergency medicine. The residents will have hands-on experience in a graduated and progressive manner. The acquired experience will be a combination of initial patient evaluation in the emergency department setting, including presentation and discussion of the diagnosis, treatment plans, alternatives, and their risks with attending emergency physicians. The residents will also be expected to participate in follow-up and to learn about the outcomes of emergency department care.
