Both neurons and plants traffic mRNA from one place to another as a means to communicate information. The Coller lab is interested in this important biological issue. Specifically we are focused on understanding how mRNAs are trafficked, how they are translationally repressed and derepressed along the way, and how they are maintained as stable species resistant to mRNA decay. |
