The Frederick C. Robbins Fellowship
Thomas M. and Janet S. Daniel Student Fellowship
The Center for Global Health and Diseases administers the Frederick C. Robbins and Thomas M. and Janet S. Daniel Student Fellowships to assist fourth year medical students perform international clinical research electives. Students in the class of 2011 are eligible to apply for this award. Applications will be judged competitively.
Deadline: Proposals must be submitted electronically on or before Friday, April 2, 2010.
Eligibility: The Frederick C. Robbins and Thomas M. and Janet S. Daniel Student Fellowships are available to third year medical students (class of 2011) who are in good academic standing, have completed their core clerkships in Medicine, Pediatrics, and Surgery, and have passed the USMLE part I examination. Complete and eligible applications to these fellowships but not awarded will also be considered for the CASE SOM Travel Award.
Terms: The Frederick C. Robbins and Thomas M. and Janet S. Daniel Student Fellowships provide $1,800 to support international travel for a period of one or two months. International travel for these awards is travel to a country typically considered “developing.” For support, an elective must have a substantial research or patient contact component. Language courses are not considered eligible. The awards will be made competitively on the basis of written proposals submitted by applicants. All sections of this application must be submitted before the deadline.
