• M.A. / J.D. -- This program combines the Master of Arts in Bioethics with the Doctor of Jurisprudence and is offered in cooperation with the School of Law.
• M.A. / M.S.N. -- This program combines the Master of Arts in Bioethics with the Master of Science in Nursing, in cooperation with the School of Nursing.
• M.A. / M.P.H. -- This program combines the Master of Arts in Bioethics with the Master of Public Health degree.
• M.S.S.A. / M.A. -- The Master of Science in Social Administration and Master of Arts in Bioethics "Side-by-Side" Joint Degree Program
• M.A. / M.D. -- This program combines the Master of Arts in Bioethics with the M.D. degree, in cooperation with either the School of Medicine or the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

Required Integrative Seminar for Dual Degree Students

Goals:

The seminar will encourage students to: (1) Draw on a variety of disciplinary perspectives simultaneously in their efforts to evaluate situations and formulate potential resolutions, in contrast to compartmentalized thinking (2) Develop and enhance their ability to engage with a diverse range of professionals in their efforts to address real-world problems with bioethical dimensions

Credits and Format:

Two semesters of the integrative seminar will be required for all students admitted to the Bioethics M.A. program on or after January 1, 2013 who are also pursuing contemporaneously a second graduate degree at CWRU. It is intended to be a 0-credit seminar. The course will meet for two hours per month during fall and spring semesters.

Required Reading:

Required reading will consist of one book each semester, which will vary across semesters. The work to be selected as a reading each semester must be amenable to review and critique from a variety of disciplinary perspectives in addition to Bioethics. Possible selections include, but are not limited to, the following:
