Community Dialogue Core
Under the leadership of Stephen Post, this core will provide
CGREAL investigators with expert advice and consultation on
the design and conduct of community engagement exercises. Dr.
Post has been nationally recognized by the Alzheimer's Association
of America for his work in developing the Fairhill Guidelines,
an influential, patient-based set of guidelines on the care
of patients with Alzheimer disease that was developed through
community dialogues with AD caregivers and patients, (cite).
With NIH/ELSI grant support, Dr. Post has been involved in educating
local chapters of the Association in every state about the issues
involved in predictive genetic testing for AD risk(cite). He
will work with Patricia Marshall, who has significant experience
with cross-cultural and international community engagement exercises,
and Nancy Wolf, who is responsible for CWRU's extensive community-based
genetic testing program within the local Jewish community, to
help CGREAL investigators design and trouble-shoot new community
dialogues as they become indicated by our research.
