Quantitative Real-Time PCR
- Roche LightCycler 480 - The LightCycler 480 is a high performance, rapid cycling, interchangeable 96 or 384 well plate-based real-time PCR system. The system's temperature control unit employs innovative Therma-Base technology to ensure temperature homogeneity and accurate PCR data generation. The LightCycler's versatile optical system includes 5 excitation and 6 detection channels making it fully compatible with all common real-time chemistries including but not limited to SYBR Green, hydrolysis probes, hybridization probes and high resolution dyes. The LightCycler 480 System includes a desktop computer with analysis software to enable gene quantification (absolute or relative), genotyping (melting curve or end point), qualitative detection as well as gene scanning analysis. Reaction time is approximately 40 minutes per plate and the system is fully compatible with robotics making it an ideal solution for high to medium throughput PCR laboratories. - Roche LightCycler 1536 - The LightCycler 1536 is the latest addition to the LightCycler product family. This high-throughput version enables processing of up to 1,536 PCR reactions in under 1 hour. The system can accommodate SYBR Green and Hydrolysis Probe Chemistries with individual reaction volumes ranging from 0.5-2ul. Automated Nucleic Acid Isolation
- Roche MagNA Pure Compact - The MagNA Pure Compact System is a bench top automated nucleic acid isolation and purification system capable of isolating DNA, RNA, and total nucleic acid from a variety of sample materials including but not limited to blood, blood cells, serum, cultured cells, bacteria, fungus, sputum, stool, and plant materials. The system utilizes magnetic bead technology along with advanced hardware features such as positive displacement liquid handling and clot detection to produce reliable, reproducible nucleic acid yields. All reagents and plastics come prefilled and ready for use. The system includes an integrated touchscreen that is utilized to program and control the instrument. - Roche MagNA Pure 96 - This higher throughput version of the MagNA Pure allows for processing of up to 96 samples in approximately 1 hour. Real-Time, Label-Free Cellular Analysis
Roche xCELLigence System - The Roche xCELLigence System allows for dynamic monitoring of mammalian cultured cells without the need for labels or dyes. The technology utilizes an impedance measurement to monitor and report cell number, cell adhesion, and cell morphology. The system has been utilized for cell proliferation, cell adhesion, cell toxicity/apoptosis, cell receptor activity, cell invasion/migration applications. Roche offers 3 different xCELLigence Systems: 3x16 well, 1x96 well, and 6x96 well. Each xCELLigence System includes a plate station, analysis software, and laptop computer.
