As a Case biomedical PhD student in laboratory based programs, you'll receive financial support throughout your studies. All tuition, fees, and health insurance are paid by the graduate programs, and you'll earn a cost of living stipend, that is currently $25,000. Student support is derived from departmental funds, individual research grants to faculty members, and over two dozen NIH Training Grants won by faculty for the strength of our graduate programs.
Our program has limited financial resources for supporting students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
We also encourage you to prepare your own fellowship applications to support your work, and many CWRU graduate students have earned fellowships from the NIH, American Heart Association, and other agencies. For more information, please visit the Fellowships and Grant Writing section of the Office of Graduate Education.
