The Biomedical Sciences Training Program (BSTP) offers you a common entry point to most of our biomedical Ph.D. programs with over 200 faculty members in a wide range of research areas. Our faculty value their interactive relationships with students and view mentoring young scientists as an important part of the mission of the School of Medicine.
Additional PhD programs at the School of Medicine offer direct admission including Bioethics, Biomedical Engineering, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Molecular Medicine.
As a BSTP student, you'll take part in common courses in cell and molecular biology. You'll also embark on lab rotations with outstanding research faculty. Once you choose a faculty advisor and the biomedical Ph.D. program that fits you best, you will go on to specialized courses and intensive research.
The BSTP identifies accomplished, creative young scientists to work with our dynamic faculty researchers. The program provides complete tuition support and a stipend throughout your studies.
