What is a Master Plan?

A master plan illustrates how an institution intends to enhance its physical environment to achieve its organizational aims. By sharing ideas about the university’s opportunities and challenges, our community can help shape the plan that ultimately emerges—including its top priorities for action.

Case Western Reserve’s planning effort involves close examination of existing space to ensure it is put to best use, as well as consideration of needs for future construction. Traffic patterns, safety concerns, recreational areas—they’re all part of an overall experience that influences how we work, play and interact.

Our most recent master plan foretold our new university center and retail/dining direct on the east end of Euclid. What ideas will the new document offer?
