ANNUAL WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS - 2004

2004 Annual Workshop Highlights

Highlights of the 2004 Annual Workshop include:

• Over 250 participants - a 45% increase from 2003
• Nearly half of the participants were K-12 youth
• Keynote Speaker Former Mayor White
• 21 Breakout Sessions (10 with youth presenters)
• 20 Exhibitors

According to attendees, the most valuable part of the day was:

• Seeing interested and interesting young people. These kids give me hope for the future.
• Hearing impressive young people speak about their experiences in volunteering.
• Learning new ideas for community service ideas and projects for my school. Also how to promote my leadership skills.
• Having available many resources/information from other agencies/organizations.
• The diversity of the breakout sessions and speakers.
• Working with youth during breakout sessions.
• I thought that the level of participation was outstanding.
• Exhibits had good information and handouts available.
• Every part was valuable.
