Jennifer joined YPS in July 1999 as a graduate student assistant. She worked for the program while earning her Master of Nonprofit Organizations (MNO) from the Mandel Center. Jennifer became the program's first full-time staff person when she assumed the role of Assistant Director in 2001. She took on the role of Director in 2003 upon the retirement of founding Director Al Abramovitz.
Prior to joining the Mandel Center, Jennifer spent two years as an AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America). During her first year, Jennifer was located in Cleveland, Ohio as co-coordinator of a family literacy project. In her second year, she moved to Juneau, Alaska as co-coordinator of an adult literacy volunteer tutoring program. She also lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she worked for a staffing agency.
In addition to an MNO, Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from John Carroll University.
Laura joined the Mandel Center in July 2008 as the Professional Development Department Assistant. In this role, she provides support to the Mandel Center's Youth Philanthropy and Service program, Treu-Mart Youth Development Fellowship program, and open enrollment Professional Development programs. Previously, Laura worked as a receptionist and a junior buyer in a purchasing department. During her career, Laura's experience has included marketing, purchasing, distribution, and customer service.
Laura graduated with an Associate's degree from Brigham Young University - Idaho.
