ABOUT YPS - MISSION, VISION, AND VALUES

Mission

Youth Philanthropy and Service develops and promotes leadership and personal involvement by youth in the giving of time, treasure, and talent to their community.

Vision

The Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations, through its Youth Philanthropy and Service program, will be a catalytic force in engaging and preparing youth as effective community leaders and problem solvers. To do this, it will partner with nonprofits, corporations, and government to strengthen the ethic of philanthropy and service with an emphasis in northeast Ohio.

    We value and promote youth taking personal responsibility for service to the community and developing the leadership skills necessary to make a positive impact on their own lives and the lives of those around them.

    We value and promote the commitment of adults to support youth in developing and promoting philanthropy and service.

    We value community partners who provide and nurture connections between youth and their community, securing the successful transfer of the ethic of philanthropy and service to the next generation.
