AROUND THE CENTER:

NML Search Committee Formed

The Mandel Center has established a search committee to help identify the next editor of the Center-sponsored quarterly journal, Nonprofit Management and Leadership. Now entering its 19th year of publication, NML is committed both to academic excellence and to advancing creative interaction between rigorous research and engaged practice.

The search committee is chaired by David C. Hammack, Hiram C. Haydn Professor of History in CWRU’s College of Arts and Sciences and a member of the Mandel Center faculty. Committee members include Kirsten Grønbjerg, Center on Philanthropy, Indiana University; F. Ellen Netting, School of Social Work, Virginia Commonwealth University; Jodi Sandfort, Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota; and Steven Rathgeb Smith, Evans School of Public Affairs, University of Washington. Netting and Sandfort also serve on NML’s editorial board.

The new editor will lead NML as it responds to rapid changes in the nonprofit management field, while raising its profile among researchers and practitioners. The three-year term will begin on January 1, 2009.
