AROUND THE CENTER:

Nonprofit Awards Recognize Outstanding Leadership and Innovation

At the 2007 Nonprofit Awards Luncheon held this June, the Mandel Center and its alumni association recognized outstanding leadership and innovation in the community with the Leadership in Nonprofit Management Award, received by Steven Raichilson, Executive Director of Menorah Park Center for Senior Living, and the Organization Innovation Award, received by Entrepreneurs for Sustainability.

Over 300 members of the local nonprofit community and beyond came out to Windows on the River to honor the winners of these prestigious awards. The keynote speaker at this year's luncheon was Rip Rapson, president of The Kresge Foundation, who discussed the new role that privately endowed, large foundations should play in society at this time. Please take some time to watch the video from the 2007 Nonprofit Awards Luncheon.

The Mandel Center would like to extend special thanks to the Supporter Sponsors for this year's luncheon: Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Cleveland Social Venture Partners, Mario and Dana Morino, Menorah Park Center for Senior Living, and MetroHealth.
