Student Highlights

Elizabeth Altstaetter, CNM Candidate, married Noel Almeida on May 28, 2006 in the bride's hometown of Bellefontaine, Ohio. The couple currently resides in Rocky River, Ohio.

Melissa Bayer, MNO Candidate, was recently named executive director of The Arc of Erie County. The Arc is a national organization that advocates for individuals with mental disabilities. Melissa is scheduled to graduate in January 2007.

Monica Ann-Glysson Craven, MNO Candidate, married Scott Craven on August 6, 2006 at the Michigan State Alumni Chapel in East Lansing, Michigan. The reception was held at the Eagle Eye Golf and Country Club with 150 of their family and friends. Afterward, they spent a week at the Sandals Ocho Rios Resort in Jamaica. They came back just in time for the beginning of the semester.

Will Goldstein, MNO Candidate, was featured in the 2006 Continuing-Education Guide published by The Chronicle of Philanthropy on June 15, 2006. In the article, Will discusses the Mandel Center course Strategic Planning for Nonprofit Organizations, for which he and other students provided marketing advice to ReStore, a business that raises money for Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity. The article features the Mandel Center as a nonprofit graduate program that matches students with charity work.

Calyn Patzer, MNO Candidate, recently accepted the position of Associate Director of Development and Marketing at Near West Theater.

Caise Rode, MSSA/CNM Candidate, was married on August 19, 2006 to Frank J. McHale at St. Francis of Assisi in Gates Mills. The couple honeymooned in glorious St. Lucia where they road horses bare back in the ocean, stayed in an open wall room on the side of the great Piton mountain and visited the rain forest. Caise and Frank currently live in Mayfield Heights and recently adopted an 80lb golden lab.
