Mandel Center Participates in Case for Community Day

Mandel Center staff, along with Bonnie Robbins, CNM Candidate, participated in the fourth annual Case for Community Day on September 13, 2006.

Created by the university's Staff Advisory Council's Community Service Committee in 2002, Case for Community Day was designed to dedicate a half-day of community service for the entire campus.

The Mandel Center's group activity consisted of creating "no sew" fleece blankets to include in gift bags, along with bubbles, books and teddy bears, for the children of Providence House in Cleveland. Providence House provides a temporary, home-like setting and refuge for children under age six who have been neglected, abused or are at risk, and for whom there are no other appropriate placement alternatives.
